Principles of addiction treatment

The Principles of Addiction course provides an overview of the biological, psychological, social, and family systems factors that contribute to substance use and addictive behaviors. Students will explore theories of addiction, stages of change, co-occurring disorders, ethical considerations, and evidence-based treatment approaches within individual, family, and community contexts.
