Pharmacology 1

Pharmacology introduces students to the physiological, neurological, and biochemical principles underlying commonly prescribed medications for psychiatric and behavioral health conditions. Students learn to identify major drug classes, understand indications and contraindications, recognize side effects and interactions, and explore the role of medications in addiction and mental health treatment.

Pharmacology II – Advanced Graduate-Level Course

Pharmacology II is an advanced course designed for graduate students and licensed behavioral health professionals, including LMFTs, professional counselors, and addiction specialists, who seek a deeper understanding of psychotropic medications, complex drug interactions, and clinical applications in mental health and substance use treatment. This course builds on foundational knowledge from Pharmacology I, emphasizing clinical reasoning, case-based application, and interprofessional collaboration.

CEU credit is available for licensed clinicians, supporting ongoing professional development in pharmacological literacy and safe client care.
